Climbing School
For anyone to climb the heights of the Christian faith, it will take continuous learning. It will take an intense desire to gain knowledge and understanding leading to a greater love and obedience to God.
The climbing school is the discipleship ministry of Metamorphosis. Once a teenager receives Christ as Savior and Lord, they are then plugged into this seven week interactive course.
Vision
To provide leadership to new believers in the area of Christian discipleship; to empower them to go to the next level of growth in their relationship with God and His purposes for their lives.
Mission
- To help facilitate deep and lasting spiritual growth in students.
- To teach new believers basic biblical truths through interactive, innovative, and creative teaching experiences.
- To mentor students through vital relationships with older mature Christians.
Each session is interactive and filled with hands on fun learning.
Small group, live, person to person mentoring as they pray and search the scriptures about the topic of study.
Each person (disciple) will receive a “tour guide book” (gear) to write thoughts, answers to questions, prayers, goals, etc.
Following discipleship, the person is plugged into a base camp (small group) and a service role in the student ministry
Spiritual
Strategy of “The Climbing School”
When a student is saved they are
introduced to a like minded (sex, age, etc.) believer who talks with them, prays
and brings encouragement to their life. The older Christian empowers them to
sign up for the “climbing school”.
7 Steps of the “Climbing School”
1. Commitment (conversion)
2. Direction (Bible)
3. Communication (prayer)
4. Team (church)
5. Safety (sin)
6. Perseverance (never give up)
7. Vision (glory of God)
